The boys finished up their regular season last night at their “Last Chance” meet in Gladstone. Our 400 yard relay team of Isaiah Compton, Gabe Chadwick, Noah Gould, and Ben Gould swam a PR of 3:45.9. Way to
go Savages!! Unfortunately we fell a bit short as far as state goes, but man – There is no way the boys’ team of coaches could be more proud of how far they have come. It was a year of change, adjustments, and blow-after-blow and these boys rolled with every punch. The improvements in the water and the growth of character were amazing, and I cannot wait to see what they will do next year.
Ben Gould did indeed secure his spot at the state contest. As a rule, swimmers are only allowed to compete in two individual events at state. Ben qualified in almost every event, but has chosen to race in the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. The meet will be held next Saturday, November 14th, in St Peters, MO.
If you see Ben out and about, make sure to show your support by wishing him good luck!
